In this book Dr. Johnson explores the core of Afro resilience—spirituality and spiritual intelligence. Dr. Johnson argues that the enslaved Africans in the Americas were able to survive and thrive, mentally,  in the midst of their enslavement, oppression, and overall experience in the United States due to the highest level of existence, spirituality.
